Singing Tigers Shine with Superior Performance at UIL Contest

The Slaton Junior High Choir delivered an outstanding performance at the University Interscholastic League Concert and Sight-Reading Contest, earning straight Division I (Superior) ratings in their concert performance. This marks the third consecutive year the choir has received Superior ratings in concert, a remarkable accomplishment that reflects their hard work, discipline, and musical growth.
In the sight-reading portion of the contest, the choir earned an Excellent rating of 1, 2, 2, the highest sight-reading score in Slaton Junior High history. They were just one point away from earning a Sweepstakes rating, an achievement that recognizes Superior ratings in both concert and sight-reading.
Our Singing Tigers at Slaton Junior High and Slaton High School continue to do incredible things and represent our district and the Slaton community with pride.
