Daughters of the Republic of Texas Scholarship

Deadline: April 8, 2024

The General James Smith Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will present an award of $500 to a male or female high school student who has exhibited SCHOLARSHIP and LEADERSHIP abilities.

Students must be of good character and completed 10 hours of community service within the last two years.

Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Scholarship Application 2024

In order to qualify for a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo scholarship, all minimum requirements must be met. Applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements in order to be eligible for a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo scholarship.

Be a U.S. citizen and Texas resident.

Graduating high school senior from eligible school

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid available December 2023.

Plan to attend an accredited, not-for-profit university in the State of Texas.

Have met minimum score requirement for either SAT or ACT.

This Award Amount is $20,000

VEXUS Fiber Scholarship Application

The recipient must submit a current photo along with the completed scholarship application and an approximate 500-word essay stating their future plans and how this scholarship will aid in those plans. The essay should be either typed or hand printed. Two (2) letters of recommendation are required and must be from either a school administrator, current teacher or coach, or a current employer. Letters of recommendation cannot be from a relative of the applicant. Additionally, the applicant must submit a copy of their official transcript.

WEST TEXAS AGC SCHOLARSHIP

 Available to those who are looking to continue your studies at a university, 2 year college or a trade school seeking a degree in a CONSTRUCTION RELATED FIELD.

Academic Scholarships are available for graduating seniors, current college undergraduates or others who will pursue post graduate work at a university, two-year college or technical trades school, with all pursuing degrees in a construction related field.  Scholarships should be a minimum of $1,000.00 to a maximum of $2,500.00 to individual applicants with a maximum of $15,000.00 per year.

Student must have competed in a UIL event – sports, music, or academic.

A Short Essay (500 words or less) on the topic: “What does Community mean to you?”

South Plains Electric Cooperative Scholarship Application

 

Eligibility
The Scholarship is available to an entering freshman who is a:

 

  • member, or is a spouse, child or stepchild of a member, orchild whose guardian is a member of the Cooperative; orperson living in a home where the landlord is a member.

Applicants must reside in the Cooperative service area; participate in Operation Round Up; and attend a qualifying school. If you are not currently participating in Operation Round Up, we’ll automatically enroll you when you submit the scholarship application.
