Back to Back Champions!!!
Slaton Ag Mechanics Team Kicks Off Season with a Bang
The Slaton Ag Mechanics Team kicked off their season at the Lubbock County Ag Mech Show, representing Slaton with Tiger Pride. These remarkable students showed up—and showed out. They put in long hours after school and even during their breaks to make sure their projects were show-ready—and it paid off.
This year, the team had two projects:
Utility Service Flatbed
1st Place Class Winner
Ag Mechanics Division Winner
Overall Grand Champion
Qualified for the Premium Sale
Built by Brycen Gaydos, Jaden Alvear, JC Rodriguez, and Roy Anderson
A-Frame Hoist 2nd Place
Built by Holton Powell, Jayden Jones, and Justin Rodgers
For the second year in a row, one of their projects earned Overall Grand Champion honors. We also want to say that the 2nd place finish by Powell, Jones, and Rodgers was in an extremely tough class. Slaton ISD is proud of you!
If you see these students or Mr. Kinch, be sure to congratulate them on a job well done.
It’s always a great day to be a Tiger and Building Greatness is always a top priority!
