Celebrate What’s Working—Address What’s Not

Successful schools, teams, and organizations thrive when they balance celebration with accountability. Celebrating what’s working acknowledges effort, builds morale, and reinforces behaviors that drive success. Recognition motivates people to keep doing the right things and fosters a culture of positivity and pride.
Equally important is addressing what’s not working. Challenges and shortcomings are opportunities for growth—but only if we approach them honestly and constructively. Take ownership of mistakes instead of blaming others. Don’t kid yourself—students are watching, and they notice how we react and handle situations. They learn from our example. Throwing others under the bus may provide temporary relief, but it erodes trust, respect, and culture.
The culture of a school is shaped by these daily choices. When we celebrate successes, face challenges head-on, and model accountability, we teach students how to act, respond, and grow. This is how a strong, positive, and resilient culture is built—one choice at a time.
It’s a great day to be a Tiger!
