Powerlifting Triumphs: Two Tigerettes Advance to State
We are thrilled to announce that Aubri Salas and Victoria Mireles have qualified for the state powerlifting meet, set to take place in Edinburg, Texas, on March 13th. Their exceptional performances at the regional level have earned them this prestigious opportunity, and we couldn't be prouder.
Additionally, congratulations are in order for Marimar Sistos and Alexia Anderson, who also showcased remarkable strength and determination at the recent regional powerlifting meet. Their achievements contribute significantly to the legacy of excellence within our powerlifting program.
Basketball Highlights: Tigers Conclude Season as Regional Finalists
Our Varsity Boys Basketball team demonstrated exceptional skill and determination throughout the season, culminating in a hard-fought battle at the Regional Final against City View High School. The Tigers narrowly fell with a final score of 45-49 on February 28, 2025, at Abilene Christian University. This remarkable journey underscores the team's commitment and resilience, and we commend them for their outstanding performance.
Softball Success: Tigerettes Shine in Ralls Tournament
Our Tigerette softball team has demonstrated outstanding skill and teamwork, securing a 2nd Place Finish at the Ralls Tournament. The team's performance was nothing short of spectacular, with notable victories including:
- Tigerettes vs. Lockney: 20-0
- Tigerettes vs. Ralls: 8-3
- Tigerettes vs. Crosbyton: 20-4
- Tigerettes vs. Denver City: 9-3
These impressive wins highlight the team's dedication and hard work. Furthermore, individual accolades were awarded to Allison Ortiz, Kolbi McCord, and Burkelynn Lamberson, who were named to the All-Tournament Team for their exceptional performances.
Junior High Tennis Achievements
Our Slaton Junior High tennis players have also made us proud with their recent performances:
- Boys Singles: Jordan Gonzales secured 1st Place, and Issac Surber earned 3rd Place.
- Mixed Doubles: Linnley Garcia and Evan Soto achieved 2nd Place.
- Girls Singles: Olivia Rollins attained 2nd Place.
- Boys Doubles: Zaiden Zapata and David Daniels claimed 3rd Place.
