This past Saturday, the Slaton Welding Team competed at the Ralls Build-Off and proudly brought home a 2nd place finish!

This is a brand-new group of students this year, and with that comes a lot of learning, growing, and mastering new skills. Despite being new to the competition scene, this team showed up, showed out, and represented Tiger Pride in the best way possible.

Their grit and determination were nothing short of inspiring—everything a teacher could hope for. The contest tested their skills in layout and fabrication, and this group exceeded expectations in every way.

We’re still fine-tuning some things, but the future is bright for this team—not just as representatives of Slaton, but as rising stars in our welding program.
