FCCLA Students Participate in Texas FCCLA Day of Service

On Saturday, members of the Slaton High School FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) chapter took part in the Texas FCCLA Day of Service. Students gathered at Compress Park, where they dedicated their morning to cleaning up around the lake.
The service project was part of a statewide effort encouraging FCCLA members to give back to their local communities. By collecting trash and improving the appearance of the park, students demonstrated their commitment to leadership, service, and creating a positive impact in their hometown.
“We are proud of our students for stepping up and making a difference right here in Slaton,” said chapter adviser Jessica Kelly. “Projects like these show how FCCLA members use their leadership skills to strengthen families, schools, and communities.”
FCCLA is a national student organization that helps young people become leaders through personal growth, community service, and career preparation. The Slaton chapter will continue to participate in service activities throughout the year.
