Congratulations to Cody Kinch and his talented team for their impressive 2nd place finish at the Perryton Build Off! This competition was a true test of skill, teamwork, and precision, and our Slaton Tigers rose to the challenge.

Throughout the contest, students demonstrated essential job skills such as cutting, welding, and accuracy of measurements—all crucial skills in the trade industry. Each team member demonstrated their ability to comtribute both individual expertise and cooperative effort to complete their project within the time limit.

Under Mr. Kinch’s guidance, students learn much more than technical skills. He is dedicated to building relationships with his students and inspiring them to reach their fullest potential. His mentorship goes beyond the workshop, encouraging each student to become the best version of themselves.

We’re so proud of Mr. Kinch and his team for representing Slaton High School with skill and integrity. It’s a great day to be a Tiger!
