4th Grade Science Experiments with Properties of Matter

Our 4th Grade Science students have been diving into the Properties of Matter and recently conducted an exciting experiment on the three physical states: solid, liquid, and gas. And what better way to explore science than with root beer and orange soda floats?
This fun and hands-on activity gave students the chance to see science in action while making real-world connections. By using everyday items, students were able to better understand how science affects daily life.
Providing analogies and interactive experiences like this not only makes learning more engaging, but also helps students grasp concepts in a meaningful way. We are proud of our young scientists and their curiosity as they continue to explore the world around them.
It’s always a great day to learn at Slaton ISD!
