Slaton Jr High’s Day of Service: Building Character and Community
On November 22nd, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Slaton Jr High students will step outside the classroom and into the heart of our community for a special Day of Service. During this time, students will go throughout Slaton, lending a helping hand to local projects and making a difference where it matters most.
This event is more than just a few hours of volunteering—it’s a powerful lesson in character, responsibility, and community pride. By getting involved in service activities, students are learning what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves, developing a sense of pride for Slaton, and building meaningful relationships between the school and the community.
Slaton ISD is proud to see our students engaging in experiences that foster responsibility, character, and a sense of connection. Each act of service, no matter how big or small, helps build the foundation of a stronger, more united community.

It’s inspiring to watch our Tigers grow, serve, and make a lasting impact. Truly, it’s a great day to be a Tiger!
